A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect for parts of Bexar and surrounding counties until 9 p.m. Friday.

SAN ANTONIO — A line of severe thunderstorms moved through the San Antonio area Friday night, bringing large hail and strong winds on the last Friday of Fiesta. 

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect for parts of Bexar and surrounding counties until 9 p.m. Friday, elevating the danger potential for anyone at Fiesta events in the evening. 

Golf-ball sized hail rained down on Pipe Creek as the storms approached San Antonio, while pea-sized hail fell in various neighborhoods across the Alamo City.
